Frequently asked questions

No. It is performed using anesthetic eye drops and, in some cases, mild sedation. You won’t feel pain during the procedure. There may be mild discomfort such as tearing or a gritty sensation during the first few days, depending on the technique used (more common with PRK).

They are all excellent techniques. The best option is personalized based on your cornea, prescription, and lifestyle.

At Clarity we use precise diagnostic tests to recommend the safest and most effective technique for you.

In most cases with LASIK or SMILE, you’ll notice improvement from the first day. With PRK, visual recovery may take 5 to 7 days. ICL also provides immediate results. Everything will be explained based on your specific case.

The results are long-lasting. In most patients, the corrected vision remains stable for many years. Only a small percentage may need a retouch with time, depending on their age and refractive stability

Yes, there are techniques like PRK or ICL for those cases. That’s why we perform advanced tests to determine if your eyes are suitable and which technique is the best fit.

Yes. In most cases, both eyes are operated on during the same session, as long as there are no contraindications.

If, after tests, we find that you’re not a candidate, we won’t proceed with surgery. We’ll explain why and what other alternatives you have. Your visual safety is our top priority.
